Bragg Organic Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple Cider Vinegar is actually a fermented juice from crushed apples. Just like apple juice, it contains Vitamin B1, B2, B6, biotin, folic acid, niacin, pantothenic acid, pectin, and vitamin C with some minerals.
Usually it is used for weight loss, leg cramps and pain, upset stomach, sore throat, sinus problems, high blood pressure, arthritis, reduce toxins, slow aging, cholesterol, infection, blood glucose control...etc.

Is it safe?
-One report of a person developed hypokalemia (low level of potassium salt in the blood) and osteoporosis after ingesting 250ml apple cider vinegar daily for 6 years.
-Another report a female patient had a apple cider vinegar tablet lodged in her throat for 30 minutes. Due to the acid content, she develop pain in her larynx and difficulty swallowing for 6 months.

Ask the pharmacist?
1) Since it may cause potassium depletion when taken in high doses, elderly with heart problem should avoid becoz of the risk of cardiotoxicity. Especially elderly that takes diuretics and digoxin as part of their medication regimen.
2) Take calcium supplementations to prevent osteoporosis.
